Grower Feedback Requested on National Biosecurity Resources

The Canadian Plant Health Council and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency are asking fruit and tree nut producers—including grape growers—to help review the National Farm-Level Biosecurity Standard and Biosecurity Guide. Developed nearly 10 years ago, these resources aim to help farms reduce pest and disease risks, protect productivity, and maintain market access.

Grower voices are essential: those working in vineyards every day understand where biosecurity guidance is practical, where it creates challenges, and what emerging risks need greater attention. Without direct grower input, updated national resources may not reflect today's realities, costs, and operational pressures on farms.

Feedback can be submitted during one of two English-language engagement sessions: register for the November 12 session, from 3–4 p.m. ET (noon–1 p.m. PT), or register for the November 24 session, from 1–2 p.m. ET (10–11 a.m. PT).
