To be presented to an individual who has made an long-term contribution to the growth and quality of the BC grape growing industry. The award will be presented biennially at the BCGA Growers’ Day.

2025 - Nominations open to Wed, July 30
This award is to recognize those in our industry who strive to grow the very best wine grapes. These are the people who are responsible for each bunch that comes off the vines during harvest and whose decisions directly guide the daily operations of the vineyard.
Requirements:

Nominee must be members or working for a company that is the member of the BCGA at time of nomination.

Nominee must be responsible for day-to-day operational decisions for the vineyard.

Nominations are for individuals only.
Self-nomination is encouraged.
Nominees are asked to provide references from 2 sources in the industry, at least one being from a winemaker who uses their fruit.
Judging criteria: Vineyard Management, Environmental Stewardship, Equipment, Human Resources, Innovation, and Peer Perception.
The judging committee will conduct site visits in the month of August.
The award includes a bursary of up to $2000 to attend an educational event.
