BC Wine Authority
This is a regulatory body that administers the BC Wine Standard and the BC VQA program.  All licensed wineries must be registered with the BCWA and must pay all set fees & dues.

BC Wine Grape Council
The BCWGC is responsible for coordinating and facilitating research & education on viticulture & enology to broadly benefit the BC wine grape industry.  It is set up through an order-in-council under the Farming & Fishing Industries Development Act.  Membership to the BCWGC is mandatory for all mainland BC wine grape producers and annual levies are collected.  The organization is run by a board elected at an annual meeting. The 2007 levy is $10.00 per ton of grapes produced.

BC Wine Institute
The BCWI’s role is to market BC VQA wines by continuing to raise the profile of the BC VQA wine brand & BC’s wine regions through a creative & strategic marketing & communications program.  All of the provinces VQA wine stores fall under the umbrella of the BCWI.  The BCWI has a voluntary membership of wineries & industry associates.  All winery members pay annual dues of 10¢/litre of VQA wine sold in BC.  Associate members pay an annual fee of $100.

Members are small, family owned & operated wineries producing & marketing wines produced 100% from BC grapes.
